Values
Our values and culture
We believe client relationships must always come first. It’s the only effective way to run a financial planning business.
This belief is made up of several different parts. Please click on each to see what really matters to us.
We are in it for the long haul. We know financial plans can take decades to reach maturity and we will be with you all the way helping you to react to changes both external and personal.
Our job is to deliver sound advice and an excellent ongoing service for the right price, while evolving what we do to embrace the best of market developments, for our clients’ long term interests.
In our thought and structure, allowing us to find the best solutions for clients and develop and innovate what we do without the restrictions of existing “ties” to solutions or providers.
Our people are all encouraged to have equity in the business – it encourages all the right behaviours.
Over our impact on our business environment, how we treat our people and through doing what we can to support in the long term important issues to us – social mobility, mental health, dementia care, arts for all.
Culture
We look for diversity in every sense to enhance our perspectives and decision-making and recruit based on ability and attitude. We want people to share and learn from each other’s different experiences and background.
Each member of the team has a job description but there will be no such thing as “not my job to do that”. Everyone supports each other, shares expertise and communicates openly with everyone else. We will also be as open as we can about the plans for the business and where people fit in.
It’s about doing your job well in a way that works for you.
Our people are aware of the market they operate in and alive to new developments, best practice and ideas; they should never be afraid to suggest how something could be done better.
We give people as much responsibility as they are comfortable with and trust them to do their job well, no micromanagement. We encourage our people to support issues important to them supported by paid charitable leave to enable them to give their time too.
In the widest sense – not just qualifications but their wider skillset including wellbeing. We recognise people develop at different speeds at different times. We are there to provide technical and practical support to our people when they need it.
